Refugee Issues

Unfortunately the problems experienced by Somalia over the past 25 years have resulted in a very large number of the population leaving the country and becoming refugees either in neighbouring countries or further afield.

Recent estimates suggest that in addition to perhaps 1.5 million Somalis living in refugee camps in Kenya, Ethiopia and Yemen, there may be a similar number who have resettled in the Middle East, Europe, North America and Australasia. The link below gives an interesting breakdown.
