Coronavirus – Covid 19
Everybody should be aware of the Coronavirus pandemic that has swept around the world since early 2020. As of 19 April it has killed over 160,000 people with more than 2.3 million cases worldwide. In the UK alone over 16,000 people have died in hospital with the illness, and many thousands more in care homes and elsewhere.
Governments in different countries have reacted in different ways to try to control the spread of the disease and loss of life, whilst trying to minimise the impact on the economy and everyday life.
